Our behavioral laboratory: the Beteor Development Center
The Beteor Development Center is the versatile and fast method to provide employees with insight into the effectiveness of their behavior as well as possibilities for their personal development and taking the first practical steps in that development process.
Lots of insights in a short period of time
Participants quickly receive insight into the effectiveness of their own behavior as well as the possibilities for their personal development. The first day is about measurement of the participants’ existing behavior: ‘to measure is to know’. Throughout the second day the participants work at a deeper level with their learning points and on their development.
During the first day the participants take part in simulation exercises: with a professional training actor as their opposite number, the participants are invited to put their best foot forward and to show their ‘best’ side. Participants receive observational and feedback training, and armed with this knowledge, they evaluate each other’s own performance and give each other feedback about their own effectiveness.

During the second day, in a small group and under the supervision of a coach, they share with other participants their learning points from the first day. Later, in individual discussions with the coach, they explore their own learning points and their ideas for their own personal development in more depth. Participants also get the opportunity to try out and exercise their new ways and behaviors in a customized role play with the professional training actor.
Throughout the development center there is ample time for self-reflection, to look back to the recorded video of their own role play and to discuss and develop their personal development plan. Finally, the participants leave the development center with a personal development plan that is motivating, inspiring and actionable!
Development Center: flexible to suit your wishes
We are pleased to think with you to customize a development center to meet the needs of your organization, for example by means of:
- The utilization of your own manager as observers with or without the expert participation of Beteor’s observers.
- The utilization of your own coaches, with or without or in combination with Beteor’s expert coaches.
- Using individual role play simulations or a combination of these with group exercises. Deployment of your own competence model with customized observation and evaluation forms.
- Using our own psychometric measuring instruments as supplements to behavioral observation (testing of intellectual abilities and personality) or using your own test material. (Beteor is a certified supplier of Insights DiscoveryTM).
- Use of tailor-made role plays and simulations combined with or as a substitute for our standard simulation exercises.
- Extending the program to also include team development activities with customized training, for instance on leadership, cooperation, communication, influencing and consulting skills or with elements from your own corporate trainings.
